mcr Data Centre Launch - PNG mcr held an extremely successful launch of their new Data Centre on Friday the 30th of November at the Telikom Rumana in Waigani, PNG. A crowd of almost a hundred IT executives turned out for the event which began with an opening address from Executive Chairman of mcr, Mr. Harry Vakili. Acting Deputy Secretary Mr. Sapanga Apuqahe from the Dept. of Information & Communication officiated on behalf of the Honourable Minister Jim Miringtoro and declared the new Data Centre open. mcr Annual Golf Day 2012 mcr hosted a very successful golf day at the Northbridge golf course in Sydney which was attended by clients from all over Australia and Papua New Guinea. First place on the day went to Tomas Bernad (mcr), Adam Blue (Oracle), David Barnett(Pilat Media Ltd) and Damien Thomson (Pilat Media Ltd). Second place went to Douglas Tamer (mcr), Alex Nicholson (BlueScope Steel), Corey Barrass (Dept. of Defence) and Ron Giezekamp (mcr). A very special prize for last place went to Ron Posu (mcr), Jocelyn Kamblijambi (mcr), Kasiau Sill (Telikom PNG) and Levi Sap (Telikom PNG)!! Prizes for 'Closest to the Pin' went to Sunil Kataria (Unisys), Adam Blue (Oracle), Neal Kelly (Optus) and Michelle Lane (Echo Entertainment). Dell's APJ Channel Awards Sydney - Dell presented mcr with their PartnerDirect Excellence Award Dell recently presented mcr Computer Resources with the company's first PartnerDirect Excellence Award in the Asia Pacific region. mcr was among just 17 partners receiving a nod out of a pool of 15,000.
