Harry (Hassan) Vakili- Executive Chairman

Prior to founding mcr, Harry worked for many years at Honeywell and Digital Equipment Corporation, following his completion of Computer Engineering postgraduate studies in the USA.

Harry is married with 5 children, the 5th being mcr itself which he and his wife Jilla, founded in 1987.

Since mcr’s earlier days of computer hardware sales, Harry has successfully shaped the company into a leading infrastructure solutions provider in the IT industry.

Harry has active interests in property development. He can also be spotted cycling across scenic Sydney streets, sweating it out in indoor rock-climbing walls, or leading the mcr charge in friendly soccer matches.

 

 

 

 

 
Mike Wilson - Director

Mike joined mcr in November 2001 as an independent director and is also a member of the executive committee.

Mike was previously Director, Partner Sales for Sun Microsystems where he was responsible for partnerships with Resellers, System Integrators and Independent Software Vendors. At Sun, Mike increased reseller sales by an average of over 50% each year.

Prior to joining Sun, Mike was General Manager of Recall, the fastest growing division of Brambles Industries, for nearly 4 years. Other positions held include General Manager of Canon Australia, Managing Director of Dick Smith Electronics, Chairman and Managing Director of Data Terminal Systems.

 

 

 

 
Eng Chew - Director

Eng Chew has been an Advisor to the Board of mcr since November 2004 and was appointed to the board of directors in May 2005.

Eng has a track record in leading Business and IT Transformation programs, in IT and telecommunications industries. Eng is the former Chief Information Officer of SingTel Optus. Prior to Optus, he held senior roles with the Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys and Telstra.

He graduated from Melbourne University and Sydney University with degrees in BE (Electrical Engineering) and PhD in Telecommunications Engineering, respectively. With a passion for R&D innovation, Eng regularly shares his industry experience with IT and business graduate students in the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney.

Kourosh Ghassemi - General Manager

Working with MCR’s major vendors Kourosh’s role is to help maintain/develop MCR’s strategic relationships and look for new business opportunities both within existing and new markets. With over 12 years work experience in the IT industry Kourosh was previously employed by Microsoft Asia Pacific in Singapore and before that IDC and the National Office for the Information Economy.

Kourosh holds a Masters in International Relations and a Honours Degree in Economics/Arts.

 
Sid Kolahdouzan - Chief Financial Officer

Sid joined mcr in June 2004 and is responsible for mcr's financial infrastructure. He has held the positions of financial manager and financial advisor within in the corporate accounting and financial management fields in the IT industry since 1988.

Sid holds a B.A. in Accounting and Statistics, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
